Default extremely annoying metallic squeak

So I have this terriblebly annoying squeaking noise on my truck. Idk what it is. I though it was my rear break getting worn out but took it to les shawb and they said the rears were fine. The front breaks are brand new. Its squeaks all the time especially after Ive been driving a little bit. Its driving me crazy. I thought it might be the front breaks breaking in but its been a month.

its like squeak...squeak...squeak like a rotating something. When I brake it becomes more of a constant squeak.

Im about ready to swap break pads to try and fix this, but could it be something else? Bearings or something possibly but it shouldnt be them either.

Front u-joints or hubs are the first things that come to mind for me.

That crossed my mind too but why would the noise change when i apply my brake?

Idk if this helps but sometimes when i turn a little the squeak will go away and then come back when I straighten up

That still tells me hubs or u-joints.

what would be the best way to determine for sure? Jack it up and turn everything by hand?

For sure jack up the entire truck if you can and rotate each wheel independently. It sounds like a part in the front BRAKES to me.

FYI my rear u-joint was bad a few weeks ago but didn't make any noise unless the driveshaft angle was being changed by acceleration. Doing a brake torque and slowly rolling forward made the thing scream. Coasting it didn't make much noise until I beat the @#%& out of it trying to positively diagnose it.

I was just doing soms stroker research and I came accross a thread that was talking about shimming axles when a lift is applied. I noticed after I got my lift I had shims on the front axle (cant remember if there were any on the rear but I don think so) but since my axle swap I dont have them installed anymore. Is it possible my axle(s) need to be shimmed? And could that cause the squeak?
