Personally I like a more traditional looking rim on these trucks. Fake beadlocks just don't do it for me, and nobody wants to see my rusty old drum brakes. I just put on some 90s ford alcoa rims on mine.
My number one priority on rims is that they are safe and strong. I can't afford to crack a set of cheap aftermarket rims hitting a pothole loaded or something. The rims I chose have a 3750lbs load rating, which is more than my tires or truck is rated to handle.
On top of that, I don't like spending money on my truck if I don't see direct benefit from it. I absolutely don't mind doing maintenance, but I hate having to buy stuff like windshield wipers, tires, etc.

I got my truck used and it came with UGLY dirty white spoke Jackman style WHEELS. (Rim is the thing around the outside of the WHEEL). Anyway, I cleaned them all up, went over them with a 3m pad, cleaned them again and painted them like the 70s MACHO Power Wagon wheels as in BRIGHT *** YELLOW!

thats pretty awesome bright *** yellow lol. sorry im used to calling them rims cause i bike. yea i like look of the traditional looking wheel everyone has. but i may try something different hit or miss may look like crap but we will see i think my dakota is about to sell anyday here so get some extra cash in my pocket for some rims n tires.
and i wouldnt trust any ol rim. i had some nice looking pro comp rims on my dakota i beet them up pretty good and not even a scratch on them they are built pretty strong. so i might try those rims not sure yet. im going to consentrate on getting my truck back and make sure everything is in working order for 4x4ing first.
im missing all the nice off road weather right now its all mucky and best time to go now and especially that its may long weekend this weekend and im truckless

i was able to get home for a day and the Duke was already to go! i made a cold start walk around video for you guys rims and tires look nice on it it.
so motor runs great lots more power then before! one thing tho it doesnt over heat but after a long highway drive i turned it off and the reserve tank started to shake n gurgle. it wasnt exploading or anything just sounded really bubbly i looked it up and it said 2 things
1: its just the hot fuid draining back into the reserve tank
2: could be air bubble
does anyone elses get that gurgle noise after a long drive?
but anyways enjoy the video !
