No special tools needed to do the add a leaf.
If you would like to do a body lift also, I have a brand new 2" body lift I would sale for $100 plus S&H. That goes for anyone on here that would like to buy it. Here is a link to it http://greensboro.craigslist.org/pts/3754434022.html
With the add a lift and a 2" body lift, 33" tires should fit with no problem. That is about how much my 72 has and 33's fit just fine and look good on it.

The body and chassis are mostly the same between 72 and 85 (I think that's the right year range), so it's likely just that A) your truck has different springs or B) his are sagged.

Yes, the front springs on my orange truck are sagged and it does have 31s on it.

No special tools but use lots of penetrating oil on the 2 studs on the front axle (or heat) so they don't break off in the housing. Also get new U-bolts you shouldn't use them over since they are already stretched and fatigued.

i would like to get rid of the rust on rear wheel wells and i think i got a little bit on my floor and then bed liner the bottom (were the black is) and bed liner the back of the box along with the floor of the cab. then find a nice silver paint and paint the middle section silver and then just a simple black for hood and roof i think that would be pretty sweet. i love what dodge does to the back end with the trucks like the super bee and what not and id just customize it with my motor and the name of my truck "the duke" i dont think it would cost that much cause im not looking for an amazing paint job due to this is my bush off road fun crusining truck lol so its just going to get scratched and dented but if i can help the rust out by getting some bed liner on it should be fun.

I think you could run 33's right now, as is.

I bed stripe wouldn't look bad, just make sure you get everything right or it will look terrible. I think the "The Duke" should be in all caps, no quotations, with just "400" under it, no quotes. I think that would look nice.

Otherwise you'll look like some donk-driving Mexican. (apologies to non-donk-driving Mexican s out there)
