IF you ever go any other big block, make sure it is 1969 or earlier. Later motors have half the HP and you need older heads to build any real HP. Get a 69 or earlier motor to build real HP. And I suggest a 383. You'll thank me when you feel the power of one. Plus the weigh a bit less than a 440. 383 is a mid block, 440 is a big block. Sometimes called low deck and tall deck motors.

On one of your other post you were talking/asking about an air cleaner so you would not get mud in it. I have some pics of what I did to mine so I would not get mud in mine while at the mud bogges with it. I just put some flashing over the front half of my filter. I had to cut it to size and I left some tabs on it on the ends and in the middle on the top and bottom to hold it to the filter. My filter is also 5.5" tall so it really does not hurt it getting air. When your filter gets dirty you just slide the shild to the dirty side and put it back on. It makes it last twice as long that way.

yea that was my plan i really like the 383's i like the bigger motor cause they always produce more tq usually and in a town that is notthing but steep hills you need tq haha or i could always do a 12v cummins swap lol but also big blocks to me just sound amazing its worth the extra gas to run haha

More pictures?

No Cummins swap, go with gasser power! It sounds better.
