Can Anyone Help?
Imp new to this forum, but im hoping someone can help me figure this out. I fell in love with my 88 Ram, 318, four speed, ten inches of lift. Ive owned it for over a year and a half now and since i aquired it ive poured my soul into this truck, recently its been giving me problems. Rums beautifully at an idle, smooth and even, but when i put my foot on the gas, and raise the rpms it coughs and sputters, and wont run nicely until it gets above 2500-3000 rpms. I know the truck wasnt treated nicely by the previous owners because it was a pro mud rig, i would really appreciate any ideas.
you mean injector right?
while the truck is running you can look down the throttle body with a flash light. you should hopefully see a cone spraying from the injector.

Ok, It doesn't look like that's the problem, both injectors are spraying nicely, even when I open the butterfly valves by hand. I also noticed, it only tends to have a serious problem under load between idle and 2500 or 3000 rpms, that's when its the worst, it doesn't act like it wants to die out, but it misses and runs choppy.
