Default Need advice on how to diagnose issues I'm dealing with on a 1988 power ram 318 tbfi

Hi I'm pulling out my hair trying to find the issue I've been dealing with on my uncle's 1988 Dodge power ram 4x4 throttle body fuel injection, so I can only get it to run when I have my foot to the floor and whenever I let off it dies no matter what I do, can anyone possibly point me in the right direction on what could be causing the issue?

Check the coolant temp sensor the PCM uses to decide mixture. (two-wire sensor. there might also be a one-wire temp sensor, but, I don't know for sure.) Plugging in with the scanner that can read data would be your best bet.

Might need the IAC motor reset. Should run without coolant temp sensor plugged in, thats how you set your base timing on that motor, unplugging the coolant temp sensor. 2 wire sensor for the computer and single wire sensor for the gauge, both are up front. Pull a couple plugs, are they black? How old is the fuel? How long since it ran?
