Default 83 Dodge 6 cyl throttle cable help

my father in law has an 83 Dodge d100 with a slant 6 in it and a 2 barrel carb, the other day he went to start it and the throttle cable popped off. Went and looked at it this morning and the cable is still in good shape and iv got the cable back onto the carb but I can’t for the life of me figure out what kind of clip it’s suppose to have to hold the cable on. Can anyone help me out with a picture or a link to the style clip?

good lord they are proud of those aren’t they!? I figured it out. It actually had a cotterpin hole on the shaft that the cable sat on that was just covered in dirt.

Hey, I will have you know, those are precision stamped pieces, made on equipment that is older than both of us combined, using the finest chinese steel available at the lowest possible price.
