Pull the distributor, pull the oil pump drive. Get one of the 'priming tools', and with a mechanical gauge hooked up, see if you can build oil pressure. Need to have a decent tool though, as otherwise, it won't seal the oil passages where the distributor normally is, and you still won't get any pressure. (even though the pump may be working fine.)
