a towing cam and aftermarket fuel injection are about the only things i would probably recommend for towing. if money is not an option magnum block/heads or better breathing heads for the la block wouldn't hurt.
I wouldn't rebuild.. I'd put a good used 360 magnum in there with a 4bbl intake and carb of your choice. 360 mags have a bunch of torque in their stock config, save your $ for other fun.
the biggest reason why i didn't suggest a magnum build was because most of the time you pretty much have to replace the head or it is recommend since the stock one are thin and prone to cracking at which point it really don't matter much whether you get a magnum or la 360 if you are going to spend money on a new set of heads.
also I know this is sacrilege, but what about throwing in a SBC with a adapter plate Full crate 360 about $5000, 350's run about $3000 big difference ???
