Default W150 fault codes.

Just bought 88 w150 4speed manual. I pulled the codes. 33 and 37. According to internet. 33 is a/c clutch relay circuit...the truck never came with a/c? #37 is torque converter clutch selonoid ckt or park neutral switch failure. Do manuals have this? I'm familiar with neutral safety switches in automatics. If my truck has these how do I test which of the 2 is the problem? Thank you in advance.

I would be more inclined to think that someone put a different PCM into the truck, when the original took a dump. Manual trans truck doesn't have a torque converter, so it can't have a torque converter clutch, and if you don't have A/C, I can see what a computer expecting it, would whine about it not being there. You can't flash your PCM, need to find the correct one for the truck, and replace it.

Thanks. I knew something wasn't right. You wouldn't happen to have a part number for correct PCM?

Mine has the code 33 as well, and that one is at least normal, manuals dont have a torque converter so my guess is that someone switched the ECU at some point in its life for one that works. May show a code, but it doesn't really matter as long as it works..
