Default Front End?

I was backing out of my driveway at an angle (slowly) and when the front tires hit the street I heard a clunk front the front end. Didn’t think anything of it. Backed the truck up along the curb and pulled in my other truck to work on.

When I moved my truck back into the driveway the front end locked up about three times driving 50 feet from the curb into the driveway. Hard, abrupt stops and I could hear the front tires dragging. I managed to get it in the driveway. I took a quick look underneath but didn’t see any obvious breaks or leaking fluid.

Before I tear my entire truck apart again, where should I start looking? I haven’t touched the front end or made any modifications. It’s an 87 D150 2WD. Please help!

have you checked upper control arms? definitely just need to lift the front end and look around for what is wrong.
