Default Question on lifting a 91’ w150. 6” or 8”?

Looking for some advice on lifting my truck. It’s a 91 Dodge W150. Any hints, suggestions or recommendations as far as the actual installation and also brand? I’m considering doing an 8 inch, however would be curious to see what an 8 inch lift looks like versus a six-inch. Would appreciate if any of you could share pictures of either of these lifts.

1991 W150

What size tires do you want to run? Purpose of lifting the truck?? Do you tow/haul at all with it? (The more you lift, the more of a pain it is to tow/haul anything.)

Thanks for the response. I would like to run 40’s to 42’s under it. The purpose of lifting of the truck is just for fun/looks. Won’t be hauling or towing anything. I’m just concerned that if I don’t go big enough it might not have the look I’m going for. Been doing lots of research online, however sometimes pictures can be deceiving.

looks like you have a bit of a lift on it already. if you are looking some good quality parts you could try checking out Jungle's HD Dodge components. he usually recommends running longer GM lift springs with his kits so you get the same lift but a more comfortable ride. his rear kit usually involves a shackle flip which should help lift the back enough that you should be able to remove the lift blocks. the components are really good quality. helped a friend install them on his truck and they are way stronger than stock.

this is the most recent pic i got of his truck after we did the 3" body lift. he was tired of the 37's rubbing occasionally
