You aren't going to find a kit. This is going to be completely custom. The ford motor won't bolt to dodge transmissions either, at least, not without an adapter, and I don't know of anyone that makes 'em. You will need the engine and trans, plus, all the electronics to make it run/shift/etc. Likely need the t-case as well, if it's a 4x4, and custom driveshaft(s)..... You are going to spend more dropping in the ford motor, than you would, if you just went out and bought a donor truck, for the engine/trans.

I planned on having to transfer everything from the explorer (the explorer is comple with a bad transmission) anyway so basically I have to weld new engine mounts and find a donor transmission for the explorer

im doing this just to see if I am capable

Booooooo you'd be better off with a 4bt swap that's way worth the time, effort, and money.

Even if you sell the explorer for scrap, and do the 4bt swap, you will still spend less.

A 5.0L and T5 manual trans is a fun combo in just about anything. No way I'd screw around with an electronic auto though - would take the fun right out of it.
