Found an ‘86 W250 with a built 360 in it, straight piped and built like a rock crawler. I’m thinking about putting a 12 valve in it, yes I know it’s not cost effective to swap gas to diesel but I want something different and the deal for this truck was too good to pass up. It’s got a 727 in it and I was wondering what I needed for the swap? I know some body work needs to be done but as far as what I need to do at a minimum is beyond me. Some guidance would be appreciated

 

The list of parts to convert is long. The gas trans wont bolt up. Diesel axles, springs, driveshaft are heavier duty. Rad support and rad are different.

I recommend a diesel parts truck to do the swap.
