Default Should I keep the computer

Hello y’all I am doing a 12v swap to a 1976 ford truck. My donor truck is a 1992 dodge d250 with a 12v and auto trans. I have removed the motor and trans and was looking for anything else to keep before I sell. So my question is should I keep the computer that is in the driverside fender or not?

it would likely be a good idea till you figure out what you are doing to control all the systems like charging, overdrive and grid heaters. it would likely be cheaper to use the computers if it still works especially since i don't think there is much value to the computer.

Isn't there a separate controller on the side of the motor for the grid heaters?

the computer cycles the grid heaters on and off till the temp sensor tells the computer that it is no longer needed. some people ditch the computer and just manually control them with a push button to the solenoids but it is more convenient when the computer does it. then you just have to wait till the wait to start light goes out.
