Default Speedo issues

I want to start by saying i thought i was setting my password but it turns out its my screen name. Now then i have a 93 with a 5.9 that had a transmission swap, i was told the transmission came from a 95 truck. The speedo has never worked since i got it. Is there an adapter or what do i need to do to get it working?

Thanks for any information,
Michael Roberts

Is your original sppedo cable driven, or is it electronic? Might need to take a look under the truck, and see if the speedo cable is just hangin' there somewhere.

If you want to change your username, just let me know, and I can deal with it for ya.

They're electric drive '90+.

The original setup has a mechanical speedo gear at the trans(2wd) or tcase(4wd). Then a widget/transducer thing attaches to it to convert it to electric.

What does this 95 trans have?
