Hello folks. I have a 1986 Dodge D150 regular cab. 5.2L 318 engine. The truck ran basically fine until the first of December. Since then, I have replaced the starter (it was struggling to start). Replaced the alternator(looked like the original). I installed a new negative cable and ordered in and installed an ignition switch and lock cylinder and the truck still wont start. Actually when you turn the key, nothing happens. I pull on the headlight switch and nothing. Since it hasnt ran in a little over a month, I charged the battery (it has gone down to the single digits in temperature at night a couple times). I am still in troubleshoot mode, so id anyone has had this issue or something similar, any ideas would be considered. Long term, my plan is to fully restore this truck the way it looked when it was new. Its really a beautiful truck and its a lot of fun to drive. Im sure there are a lot of you out there can appreciate that. So, anyways, any ideas i would surely appreciate it.

 

Does ANYTHING electrical work?

 

Well now yes. I found some bad wiring and with the nice weather i was able to fix that. Just cant get it to turn over.
