they are not like the 2nd gens. you have to remove the hubs to change the rotors on these. they are more of a pain to work on than the 2nd gen stuff.

Neither. Both those designs have a big nut on the stub axle and no protruding hub.

It's the common bearing-hub style that Chevy, Ford, and fullsize Jeep also used. Take the drive puck out and install locking hubs.

I don't think I have ever seen a 93 or older Ram 4x4 that didn't have locking hubs, unless it came with the NP203.

85-93 didn't have locking hubs with the Dana 44. Just a plain chrome 'blank' in the hub. T-case is either a np208 or np241. Many people switched them out for locking hubs; may or may not have crippled the CAD system.

Here's my 89 parts truck with the stock hubs and np241 tcase.

Yup yup. That makes the conversion MUCH easier, and cheaper.... Just need the locking hubs.
