My point exactly, everyone is oh no cummins in a 1500 better upgrade blah blah, but they;; hang a plow off one and not think twice, even though its heavier and leveraged 3-4-5ft in front of the axle, not over top of it

I once had a E250 3/4 ton van that had factory 1 ton suspension on it .... Father in law has a chevy 3/4 ton with 1 ton suspension ..... it is a common thing for the dealers to do.
Father pulls a 5th wheel trailer with 1 ton suspension and pays taxes on a 3/4 ton truck. .... It is a option customers like.

So your truck is a heavy duty 1 ton .... is that 1.5 ton suspension or a 2 ton?
That plow looks like it should be on a semi truck platform like the big dump trucks the cities use. ..... That plow is huge!

Yes, it is huge. That's why it's still sitting on the bed. Picking up and moving nearly a ton of steel is difficult without an overhead crane. It's the Boss RT3 smart hitch and the brackets are still under the truck. I've found used units for sale from $4500 to $6000 so I'm hoping to find someone looking for a spare plow on the cheap. The truck is a one ton dually so it has the heavy suspension. Boss says the plow is for 3/4 and 1 ton chassis.

Indiana isn't too bad on taxes for something this old. At 10 years old, I pay the minimum excise tax and I'm running 11,000 pound plates.
