I just inherited a 1975 d100 with 21,000 orig miles
Seems like a high idle. I love the roads where you live! No traffic, pot holes, patches, Lights that take forever to change then only let 5 cars go, One guy needs to turn left and holds everybody else up during the entire green light etc... No wonder why there is road rage! I heard a advertisement on the radio about how the state is taking care of the infrastructure. What a joke!
Sorry got a little off subject.
Yeah I didn't let the truck warm up. Idle was doing exactly what it should when cold. When the choke opens it idles nicely.
Now that you mention it, the roads are nice here. I'm in Georgia but grew up in metro Detroit. Good gosh, the roads in Detroit are AWFUL!
We don't have the heavy trucks or the salt destroying our roads down here I suppose.
I also live in more of a rural area. Lots of horse farms, etc. Never really gets the stupid traffic I used to see when I lived in Northern Virginia.
