Default Sorry if this is the Wrong thread. issues starting my 93

I bought a 1993 d150 from my uncle. He drove this truck for years and parked it one winter before I bought it. I replaced a transmission switch to fix an overdrive issue he had, the radiator has been replaced used from a 81.

my first issue with the truck was the fuse able link kept blowing, sent it to a shop where they split the fuse to cab and engine now have 2 40amps. About a week later after an hours drive, she quit, wouldn’t start again for a few days, and drove it to work where I ended up having to replace the coil to get it home, same issue continues at home, tried replacing relays on inner fender. Throwing the gas pedal down helps start it now and then but so does honking the horn and removing the breather. However she does start she won’t stay running long, not sure if that part has to do with the issue itself or the cold.

my best guess is a short… but where? Any help is appreciated

Have a scanner that can read live data? See what the PCM thinks engine temp is.

I have a 1993 dodge that has been messing with me from dirty electrical connections.
It needed a motor installed and I let it sit for a couple years before getting around to it. After I got it going, just seems to be one thing after another.
Would not shift so I replaced all the transmission sensors .... finally found the issue was a dirty power connection to the TCM.
I fought a few other issues and all dirty connections.

I'm still fighting one issue, I have not fixed yet ... just giving the board a break from me crying about it and working on something else
And I'm now certain it is a grounding issue for the ECM.

Just suggesting that a 32 year old vehicle has the potential for dirty connections and will cause lots of strange issues. Seems letting them sit for awhile will make the issue worse.
The worst connections on my Dodge Caravan seem to be around and under the battery tray. Once you get access to them it is fairly simple to take apart and clean them using a wire brush and cleaners. ... I kept finding green corrosion around the terminals .... once cleaned they are good for another 30 years.
Just going through and cleaning them will be worth your time and may fix some issues while helping find others.

14* MAP sensor voltage below .16V or over 4.96V
You may want to look at what kind of reading you are getting for the map sensor also.
