Default Looking for interior door handle mechanism LH
The spring broke on my driver's door (1975 d100) - see image.

I can't seem to find this at any parts shop. Anyone have any clue how to replace the spring if I can just get a spring?

Looks like I'd have to grind out this rivet thing but then how to reassemble?

Nut and bolt might work, don't know how much clearance you would have for it though. Might try and find a used one thru car-part.com..... Just replace the whole thing.

Just an update. I ended up finding a salvage replacement. Couldn't figure out any way to just replace the spring.
