Default 93 Dodge D150 hemi swap?

I bought a 93 dodge d150 about a year ago it’s the 318 automatic 2wd my dad has an 08 dodge ram 4x4 with a 5.7 hemi and we want to do an engine swap into my truck. is this possible (if so what did I need), and will it bolt to my transmission.

What's wrong with the 08 truck, that he wants to yank the engine??

You are gonna need the pcm and wiring harness from the newer truck anyway, might just as well use the trans as well. Probably have to fab motor mounts, and trans mount anyway. Not to mention, figger out how to make your gauges work. Or, transplant the 08 cluster into the older truck.

The 08 is basically just rotted out but the motor is still perfectly fine. We also weren’t sure if we could use the transmission in the 08 because of the transfer case and we wanted to keep the 93 a 2 wheel so we were hoping it would just bolt up to my transmission.

DIYhemi used to have all that info, I see the rebranded and I’m having trouble finding technical info. Maybe you could have better luck I think their new name is sublimetechnologies. Seems like more of a store than any thing else now tho

You have two issues, Putting in the hardware(engine, trans etc) and then controlling everything. It sounds like you just want the motor. A carb or some stand alone engine controller may be an option.
