Bird bath hood question.
Only if you swap the 1976 grill assembly. The 1980's and later hoods fold down at the front. The '76 is flatter.
The more I think about it, the fenders might be different too. That would mean swapping the dog house between the two trucks. I'm thinking that might be pretty cool.
But then, don't i have to swap the radiator core support because of the headlight buckers?
The radiator support isn't that bad to pull. When the engine in my '84 W150 finally gave out (323K miles, you'd think they would last longer) the truck sat to high I couldn't life the engine high enough to clear the radiator support. I pull the support and brough the engine straight forward. I'm trying to think if the fenders will match up with the doors.
I've seen all kind of configurations when people mix and match years. I never really understood it!
70's body with 81+ front end or vice versa or whatever they could piece together.

The fenders are slightly different, but fit. The trick is an 80's door has a body line that may catch the 70's fender edge when opening.
Mixing and matching nose/grilles/etc is often a case of using what you have, or can find easy. As you know, these dodges aren't well supported in the aftermarket.

You work with what you have. I've got a '55 Chrysler I just pulled home. I'm using stuff I've had stashed for years. Popping down to AutoZone for parts on a 70 year old car can be problematic.
