Yeah, lowering shackles are easy enough to find, but try to get drop spindles or lowering kits for the front of a 93 ram.

I've been to almost every company, and can't find anything. Try find lowering springs from another truck that would fit it. This weekend I'm lowering my truck. Right now I have the 2" shackle drop from Ground Force. That was $50.00 and I got the flip kit for the rear. That was $35.00 at Jeg's from Mopar. I'm just going to heat the springs for now. That's what I did on my Mazda MX-6 and it had a great ride to it. I'll put pictures of before and after.

How many engines have you had to put in that thing?

... or has it been stored since it was new?

Pat - these engines will easily go 150-200k with normal service, longer if exceptionally well cared for. My 86 is on its second motor at 260k and it's running really strong, but I suspect it's getting time for a quality engine build. The last one was an autoparts store special long block about 90k ago, and it's smoking a bit on startup.

email them to me at Twistedillusions24@yahoo.com. I'll gladly resize them for you and post them up, or you could create a photo gallery and then you could upload them to that.

You can create a gallery Here

Gallery photo sizes can be larger and arent restricted like the pictures are in posts.

To those still intersted in this.
Aim industries sell drop coils and lowering a-arms for early rams. The web site is www.truckin.com. If anyone has tried these out, let me know.

Alright, I've got my truck lowered. Flip kit on the rear end with 2" lowering shackles, and heated the front spring. With the rear don't use lowering shackles with it. It drops the axle right on to the frame. Not good. The flip was pretty easy if you have somewhere and all the tools. You'll have to make a custom barcket for the shocks, I'm still working on how to make the whole setup better. Heating the front springs wasn't the best way of lowering the front, but it was the cheapest and easiest. The part for the rear end to lower cost $12.99 from Jeg's, Part # 312-P4120074...Spring Perch. I'll tell you more as it goes. Right now I'm redoing to rear axle because the carrier pin broke and broke the teeth on the gears. This is why you should make sure the sup. is tight before you take it to the track. I'm tring to find 3.90 gears.
