Look at the price difference. $7.50 vs $300!! Thats why I was wondering if that ebay link is just a load of crap or what.

Yes it is a big pricedifference, but it is always good to go with aproduct by a companythats known andbeen around for awhile. There are a lot of people that like Jet, and stand by theirchips. My brother has a Jet Stage 2 in his Dakota 5.9L V-8. When he installed the chip there was anoticeable difference in HP and TQ. He also had an CAI and cat back system and the 180 Jet therm. So yes it will cost some money to get the best perfomance with a Stage 2. The Stage 1 will give a slight noticeable difference in responce. So the Stage 1 may beenough for you. If you have the 2.4L, than Jet has that motor covered to, and it is cheaper than the chip for the 2.7L and the3.5L HO.
At some point and time I do hopethere well be a performance programer by one of the major company's. With a programer you have more control over HP and TQ out put.
I am getting the 3.5L (an R/T of course) and I think the stage 1 looks promising. Is the increase in mpg as signifigant as they claim? Has anyone ever experienced this? I am definatley willing to spend $300+ on an increase in mpg, but the slight power increase is not important to me.
Also, how do these things work? Are they 100% safe, and do they void the Dodge warranty? Thanks in advance.

The Jet chips are safe and will not void the warranty. As for mpg....you should see an increase, how much is on how you drive your car. If you have aheavy foot than you may see no increase. If you plan on doing some real work on your car to than get a cat back system and make a cold air intake and let thatair flow. You should see some improvmentsin mpg with these types of upgrades also. You can alsoincrease your TQ and HP by letting your car's air flow better. I have always used performance chips, and never had any problems with warranty work. The nice part is that you can remove the chip when youbring the car in for work if youfeel that the dealership will give you a hard time. After the work is done then just plug the chip back in.
Hey guys. I saw that cheap chip on ebay...and because it was so damn cheap my curiousity forced me to just buy it. It is basically a small wire with a little resistor in the middle or something...it is like the thinest wire you could get..and you bend it and stick it in the plug that connects to your IAT sensor. ..Im going to email them and ask the what that little thing does..because the sensor is being bypassed or something..the resistor thing in the middle of the wire thing is so small - I cant see it doing anything. I have not noticed any power difference as of yet..(expected) and Ill have to wait and see how my mpgs are affected. Ill let u guys know.
Don't buy the cheap "chips" on eBay.
All those things do is fool your engine controller into thinking you have more air entering your engine by changing the signal to the ECU with a RESISTOR!
This is NOT an ECU Chip nor is it a proper engine remap. I would never use this on a car I own. It's one of the biggets scams on eBay right now. I only call it a scam because they buy a 20cent resistor and put in a plastic box and sell it to you for $7.50 + SH.
Save your money and get a proper engine remap with a programmer or an actual chip that is soldered onto your ECU's PCB. And yes, it will void your powertrain warranty if your engine fails and they find out you have it. Most chip manufacturers will say "does not void warranty" but they are just betting on the fact that the dealership can never find out that you were reflashed or chipped. To me it's not worth it unless you're getting new injectors, fuel pump, exhaust and intake. Just simply chipping your car doesn't really do anything for you, other than to be ablle to tell people your are "chipped".
Just my 2cents.
