software upgrade is out
So I take my car to the dealership today to for my regularly scheduled oil change, and to complain about the hard down shifting/hesitation up to 30 mph for the third time in which I actually asked them to look into when the software upgrade might be coming out. When I went to go pick up the car they tell me that they contacted Dodge/Chrysler and claim that there is no scheduled upgrade to be releasedfor the Avenger. Not only that they tell me there is nothing they cando for what I claim is happening to the car since the computer isn't picking anything up.(they of course don't feelwhat I do).
I really enjoy this car except for this rather large issue. The car is so bad I'm embarrased to drive with anyone else in the car.
Can anyone suggesta contact from Dodge/Chrysler that I could tap into. I'm really frustrated with the dealership at this point.
Thanks in advance.

Yeah I have the 6 cyl R/T.
The other thing is they put on the slip after you pick up the car that they could recreate the problem and make it sound like it's running fine. I'm no mehcanic by any means, but it doesn't take an expert mechanicto realize that the car is not running fine and that there is a problem.
Ahhhh that feels better.
In any event, I emailed Chrysler last night with a complete detail of my issue. It will be interesting to see what they have to say...if anything.

I am getting quite frustrated too with the whole transmission problem. I bought my 08 R/T AWD in November and have been back to the dealer twice but Dodge isn't giving them any idea about when the new software will be completed. I'm glad I found this site since I've been thinking this is a new problem (makes me realyyyyy upset now to know that all of you have been dealing with this for quite some time). The dealer has ordered a new torque converter for me and tell me it probably won't be in for about 2 weeks then in the same breath basically tell me this isnt the problem but Dodge said to go ahead and install it. WHAT THE HECK????[>:]
I don't get where in the heck the quality control people are at. Maybe it's angry workers they mess up on purpose,I worked with people like that. It's embarrassing when you're driving a new car and you have people witnessing the transmission etc. going wacky.
