from what it looks like it might have been placed wrong it was under evrything else that crossed the cable, except for two plug wires. i might have an idea whats wrong now that i think about it, when i flushed the tranny i noticed what i thought was part of the kick down, kind of like a pressure regulator, but I was told by a former jeep tech that it shouldnt have that much travel, but he never told me how to adjust it... ***... anyways i wonder if that would be apart of the problem, which i forgot to mention was; slow acceleration, slow kick down reaction time, and which concerns me the most, the tires arent breaking loose like before, its rare for me to break them loose even from a stand still. dont get me wrong i try to stay off of it but when you have an UnTrained Idiot (uti student for those who dont know) in his rice burner lookin for a spankin then i cant control how heavy my foot gets... anyways its not acting like it used to. but it wasnt a gradual change either.

On the linkage, there's 3 cables- Trans control, cruise control, and loud pedal. The Trans cable shouldn't have too much slack in it, and there's no "correct" setting for it. But it's not going to move unless you remove the little white clip.

yea moving the TV doesnt do much, all it does is change the line pressure coming out of the pump. I used it as a bandaid when my trans was coming apart from the inside out (and eventually took it over the edge and started breaking hard parts). Having it too low can make everything slip, having it too tight will not let things disengage and ect (or in my case, force wounded parts to stay together like they should, until other parts can't stand the pressure). I take it that the engine light hasn't come on yet?

well today after messing with that tps, had a code for high tps input... I'm guessing its not suppossed to read cts voltage... unless i unknowingly touched the two pins i was using to back probe?? but besides that i had a shfting problem but went away after flushing the tranny...

what do you mean by CTS voltage?

I dont think touching/shorting them would have done much, you would have seen the spark, and/or it would have popped a fuse somewhere.

Not sure why nobody else is posting...
