Default 97 5.2 misfires in 3&4

I am still having issues with my truck. Now I am getting a code for the injector circuit in cylinders 3&4. What does this mean? What can I do to resolve this issue?

May be a wiring issue. If both codes showed up at the same time, then likely it is. Verify you have power at those connectors while the engine is running. (otherwise, you only get power there for about 3 seconds at initial key on....)

Is it possible the connectors on 3 &4 are not seated all the way? I don't the harness is long enough to swap the connector on 3 & 4 so that should rule that out. If the signal shows good, it could be the plugs or the injectors. You could swap them with a different cylinder and see if the fault moves to that cylinder or stays.

I checked all of the connections and swapped injectors and plugs.I really don't understand what is going on here. Thank you for the input.

What's the background? When did it start? Did you have problems before or change anything and then it started?

well it all started when I was hauling dirt for my garden. It over heated. I let it cool down and when I started it up there was white smoke coming from the tail pipe. So took the the heads off took them to my job and cleaned them up checked for cracks and warping. I put all new gaskets, plugs wires rotor and cap. When I got it all back together. It was running rough. So I plugged in my obdi and got the codes for misfires in 3&4 and fuel injector circuit. So I moved the injector from 3 to 5 and still no changes. I checked compression. I have plenty in all 8. I am getting spark for all 8. I smell fuel when I checked compression. I don't understand what could be wrong. Thank you for your time

Sure the 3 & 4 plug wires aren't swapped.
