The weak battery in run sounds like a short, but the flickery lights = bad conection. Check to make sure any pins aren't trying to push out the back side of the conector. I hate wiring gremlins.
Not to steal your thread but can any one tell me what fuse or cb is for the headlights? I have no manual for my 2000 Dakota, they just stoped working.

Make sure that when you plugged that harness back in, no pins fell out of the plug itself, sometimes they can get pushed out when you plug em back in. Make sure when you put the dash back together you didnt pinch anything.

Yea I pulled the dashboard out again. I looked through all the wiring...there was like..nothing pinched or anything. I don't see what is wrong with the heater/ac wire harness cuz those are some bigass gauge wires goin on there. I cldnt even poke a hole through them with a test probe needle. BUTTTT...I fixed the other problems. Yea as I had to clean up since it was gettign dark...I had to put the dashboard back on and stuff. I still had the main wire harness on and the switch for the interior lights were still on. So as I'm lifting the brackets into place..I touched the metal clips on the body frame and all of a sudden...my interior lights flash. I'm like....THERE'S THE PROBLEM. apparently the dashboard wasn't put in right and it was causing a loose ground. So now I made it rock solid, and all is good now. I still have the heat/ac problem though. It would start whining ONLY in accessory mode, unless I actually turn the Heat/AC on with the controller. I have no idea what's wrong there..[sm=WTFsgign.gif]

There is a small vacuum line under there, near the driver's side, next to the gas pedal, anything around there unhooked?

Hmm well I didn't see anything when I was there. Dark out right now I'll have to check tommorrow. I think there was a wire harness up above in there, but it looked pretty solid to me. I never touched it before tho. Oh yea and there was a yellow line hooked up in there, but I think the vacuum lines are okay considering the Heat\AC still works

I don't know what else I'm missing now that I figured out that the ground is the dashboard itself. I still have to test the battery.
