Default Finally got it back!

yea today I had my truck parked in the street which is very rare...my neighbor, who was in a rush to get to the hospital, backed into my truck...

Yea that's what he's been saying. I don't know what to do tho. Do I report this? I wanna make this as painless for both of us as possible.

That sucks, i would report it. In Miami FL. you need that report so it would be covered.

It all depends on how cool your neighbor is going to be. Get an estimate for the repair and give it to him. This will take a couple of days, which will also give him time to get his finances together. How long do you have to report a claim in FL? I am assuming he doesn't want to get any points on his license, or pay a higher deductable. If he refuses to play ball, you always know where he lives.

He's pretty cool on paying for it. I really don't wanna report it to the police considering this guy is old, but not too old, and we've been neighbors ever since I moved here 12 years ago. I don't wanna have his license taken away or anything like that. When I take it to the shop for an estimate and talk to the insurance company, I'll figure things out from there.

Don't worry about reporting it to the Police. Unless they saw the accident or have third party witnesses, he wouldn't get a ticket. It's cool that he is playing ball. Does he have any damage or marks on his vehicle? If so, I would get a few pictures just in case he changes his mind. If you have any problems with getting the claim handled, post up, I'm an insurance agent and know how it's handled.

no, but dumb question, are those tail light covers street legal?? i was looking into them and my parents made the point that they may not be street legal, and i was like damn, i really like them, so if they are legal ill probably get them, but if not im not spending my money, and im in NJ so idk if each state is different,

and how are they held onto the truck??? that was my other concern thanks

and sorry, im not trying to steal the thread or anything, just wondering,

well I had no problems with the cops. They should be legal since the lights are not completely covered. As soon as Johnnymagnum gets new tail lights im getting his full covered ones, cuz I have to many ramheads.
