Sarted smelling antifreeze a few months ago.
I dont drive it all the time so I put this off.
Changed hoses,Clamps and cap.
I cant find where its coming from, but when it gets hot I can smell it worse.

do you smell it when your inside your truck? if you do, then its your heatercore.

and it probly could be your cap.

Do a pressure-test AFTER it's hot. Be sure the thermostat is open.
Smell it on the inside; Heater-Core.
Smell it on the outside; Could be anywhere.

ya, I would get the truck nice and hot, then take the rad cap offJ/K you'll only do that once[:@]

but I would hook up the pressure tester when your trucks cold, then get her nice and hot for the stat to open, then you will be checking for leaks in the whole system, not just the rad.

I did replace the cap a few months ago, and a new one came with the uper hose assmbly.
I smell it inside, but mostly outside the truck.
Im going to try the hot test tomorw.
I guess if that doesnt tell me anything, I can bypass the heater core and see if it stops, huh?
And it really smells like antifreeze when ya pull that cap off hot..

I had an indentation of the rad cap and a burnt arm when I did it.

I was 17 and my old bronco over heated...... so I decided to check the coolant I learned my lesson the hard way, even though it should be common sense.
