done in pairs so it will be even, pretty much common sense... your best bet is heat it up with the torch, and punch out the bolt remains

I really don't have the cash to replace the other one at the moment... Do you think it would be okay to just replace the one until this coming tuesday? Also In the morning i have to take it to a shop to get the bolt heated up.. Will it be ok to drive the truck like .5 miles to the shop?

well the one shock fell off of my tuck and i was driving it for idk how long w/o it before i realized that a missing shock is what was causing the odd ride and it did not do any damage so for 1/2 a mile i would not worry about just be really easy on it to be safe if ur worried about it

You can drive it all day long if you want. I wouldn't advise it though. All the shock does is dampen the the suspension so she don't bounce.

don't go over about 30-40 mph, its dangerous because ur tire (s) will be bouncing off the road...the will at slow speeds toobut you should be fine...

i agree with Travis. At highway speeds, that tire will literally be bouncing off the pavement. Take it slow, bud. Welcome to the forum- alot of knowlegable people here!

Thanks alot guys all the info you have posted has really helped alot. I made it down there fine without the shock.. Got the bolt out and everything. Then come to find out they gave me the wrong shock, and the shop was closing.. So i drove it back home with no shock, and now i'm waiting for my g/f to bring the shock i need down. Because the only place that had one in stock was in town close to her house. Again thanks alot, and i made a new post with pics of the truck if any of you are interested in seeing it.
