So picked up my Dakota this moring from the dealer everythings going good till im on the way tomy friends soccer game. Right when i got to the field it started acting weird like bucking and i know my clutching isnt that great yet but that wasnt it because i wasnt even on the clutch. So im on my way home and its bucking even more when i downshift and left of the gas then sometimes when i step on the gas in certain gears. My dad and i then went out to see if it was just my shifting which we kinda were convinced it was untill we almost got back to my hosue and the check engine light came on and it started bucking mildly again. Called the dealer and there gonna fix it on monday but does anyone know what this may be or things like this "death flash" i should be worried about that they might do...hopefully its just an O2 sensors and the bucking was my ****ty driving but im not really sure. i knwo this is long and i hope u can understand it. So just pulled my code and found out its P0202 which is:

(M) Injector #2 Control Circuit An open or shorted condition detected in control circuit for injector #2 or the INJ 2 injector bank.

So anyone know what this is and if its harmful to drive im guessing thats what the bucking is from that when whenever i get to that cylinder it f's up. Thanks again for any help.

so got my truck back today thinking they fixed it they said it was just water and moisture in the injector so i took it out a little tonight and it did the same damn thing as it did and just threw the same damn code...taking it up tomorrow again i guess and there gonna really hear from me now pisses me off how damn cheap the dealer is[:@]fu stealership

 

take off your injectors its not hard, and clean them.. they pop off, make sure you take out your fuel pump fuse, and let it sit for ahwile to releive any type of pressure in the rail, if you take it off.. i would do it just to be safe, dealerships are **** the only thing they ar good for is....... .... ... hmm nothing?

Take it to a performance shop or do the work yourself. Thats what i useally do.

 

So took the truck back up today to the dealer and just heard back. They found out the whole ECM was fried during recon so they ordered a new one and i should have the truck back on thursday. I guess this is a good thing since i get a whole new one.

I am 100% telling the truth they said that when i dropped it off it was giving them a bunch of wacky codes and then when they drove it that it was doing the same thing. They said they couldn't make any sense out of anything so they had to just get a whole new ecm and yes they are paying for it i haven't even had the truck a week and its been up there for 4 out of the 6 days i've owned it. Now with the new ecm new tires and new shocks its starting to make that $10,000 i paided for it a little easier to swallow.
