Default wet floor board

1998 Dakota, problems with wet floor board on passenger side. cannot find the drain hose for air conditioner. Any ideas where to look? Or any other reason it would be so wet even when there is no wet weather?

+1

unless your already using your a/c, then it could be the a/c drain hole is plugged.

do you smell coolant at all?

mnine was the crappy ac drain design, the drain on mine is just a stub about a quarter inch out of the firewall and when driving down the highway the water would blow rite back into the cab, i used a piece of hose and a elbo to fix mine...no water since

Thanks for the replies! I smell no coolant so I don't think it is the heater core. I am having a hard time finding the a/c drain hose. Please let me know if you can tell me where on the firewall it is. Thanks again!

FWIW had a leak in my extended cab both front and rear floorboards of the driver's side and turned out to be a leak from my rear window seal. Water ran down the back of the cab and was not noticeable because of the trim and seats etc.. Have someone hose the rear window areadown while you are inside watching and maybe some RTV will be a quick fix. Good luck

You need to locate the drain-hole 1st. (If you have been running your A/C, otherwise, it's gonna be a heater-core or a window leak.
You can use a trans cooler hose about 10 inches long and let it hang down the fire wall to help draining. Use nothing stonger than a big pipe cleaner to clean the drain hole. You can poke a hole in your condensor real easy!

a/c drain is very low on the fire wall. it's not easy to access. if the water on the floor doesn't smell like antifreeze it's probably not the heater core. use silicon seal on all gaskets going thu the fire wall.
