could be the syncronizers in the transmission, u joints wont affect shifting, if at all, but what your saying sounds like your synchros went out, either double clutch or send it to a tranny rebuilder and have them tear it apart

While we are on tranny. Does anyone know why a tranny would shift really harshly? it has a shift kit, but I don't think it should shift so hard. I have adjusted the TV cable. I do notice it is stiffer at first, than Loosens up after I drive for a bit(The Pedal.) Also when I am really Light on the pedal like tapping it, the tranny will like search for gears between 1st and second.
