Default Transmission noise???

So sometimes when i shift from park to reverse, park to drive, drive to reverse, and reverse to drive to makes a clunking noise? More going into reverse the any other. My trucks got 120,000km about 74000 miles. I have heard these transmission arnt the greatest? What you think the problem could be? You think my transmission could be going?

Cheers

Ron

How hard would be to change your U joints? Would changing your tranny oil to synthetic make it last longer? Make any different in smoother shifting? Or lasting longer?

I did both my u joints in 1/2 hour, you just need a press.

and my tranny shifts better after I switched to synthetic.

I'm running royal purple in my tranny. and I switched my truck over to castrol GTX syntec when I first got it over 2 years ago. I use synthetics in almost everything.

if you have an aluminum drive shaft, then the will be a PITA to do. mines steel, so it was pretty easy.

I just got my truck not to long ago and dont really know that much about it! wat grade you running in your tranny? engine is like 10w-30? do you know any good dodge sites that can tell you wat your truck have like a vin check site that breaks down all the codes??
