Default custom flash on stock engine

Would you see many performance gains from a custom flash or a programmer on a mostly stock engine??

getter fuel curves and torque managment, but as for major power boost maybe cuz of the shift points being changed.. kinda like new gears, but not. A Custom PCM should be the last thing you add on your truck, cuz if you get one for a stock truck, then upgrade the intake manifold or cam it, you have to get another flash, and they dont give you deals if you already had one flashed, its 300-500 a flash depending on the pcm and who flashes it..

as for the programmer, that would be better for a stock engine then a Custom flash, you can use it with any type of engine, the custom pcms just do ALOT more then the programmers can do.

It doesn't work that way dude. All of the programmers either stay attached to the vehicle being altered, or they read the VIN and won't work on anything else until that vehicle gets set back to stock. IMHO there are better ways to spend your money, unless you pick one up cheap on eBay.

ya, programmers lock onto your vin#. they upload your stock program and replace it with their program.

but I wouldnt say they are useless. I would never pay full price for one. I like how I can view and reset codes on mine.
