ok so i checked mine from a dead stop 3 times, and i averaged between 13-14 seconds from 0-60 mph. The other thing to consider is weather or not you had your speedo corrected after the 31's were put on, i did not. like i said taking off from a dead stop im a little sluggish until i get rolling, then i'm like a rocket, but still not able to roll with the big boys. Poor ol' V6. Btw my truck has appx 220,000 KM's on it

I have an '03 V6 powered club cab 4x2. It's certainly not a race car, but I have never felt like I could not get going fast enough to merge into traffic on an on ramp or a yield sign or anything like that. Even when loaded down with 500 lbs and the heavier BFG's it still performs fine in and with traffic.

That said, I still am going to put an intake on at some point.

Yea mine is a lot worse, I think maybe the speedo is off but It still has no bottom end. I will try putting a new cat. Which is the best for this truck? I was thinking magnaflow and I might be heading to the city tomorrow so I would pick one up there.

i have about the same truck as you but mine is an 03 and mine has no power what so ever and i have been wondering if exhaust would help me any or not.
Have you done any mods yet?? Im not too sure about the v6, but with a v8 (and some will probably argure this) i wouldn't do exhaust first. I would open up the intake side first with a bigger throttle body, intake, and a cold air kit. Or....you could always go with a programmer. I dont have one, but from what i have read they work pretty good.

I had an 03 with the V6 3.9L it is a good strong motor but no rocket no matter what you do but next to a Chevy S10 V6 it is much quicker and just all around better from the ground up, my 04 V8 4.7L is nothing like the V6 was no matter what mods you do, that is one of the big reasons I traded my 03 to get a V8 and a Quad Cab.......if you really want fast, time to think about a trade on your truck, you can still find 04's with low miles, I refused to go to a Gen3 just a personal pref....but upgrades or engine changes are just not worth it......good luck and you still have a great truck

Well once I put the cat on I hope that it runs a bit better. I just need to install it But I think it Will make a difference

The cat I got was said to do around 620cfm according to a bench test done at the shop I bought it at.
