Default Exterior LEDs

Hey guys, I am looking at replacing all my exterior bulbs (ie parking, break, licence plate lights) with white LEDs. Anyone here have that done yet? If so any advice on what kind to get and where to get them? Thanks in advance.

I've never heard of anyone doing that. But- sounds like a sweet idea. Once they are in, you will never have to replace them.
I would just make a trip to radioshack. They have them in a pull out tray and sell them individually.
I used some on my RC car for head and break lights, but thatsa 3 volt system. I have had 4 of them burning on 2 AA batteries for about 100 hours now, and they are still bright as hell.
Keep us posted on the project! Im interrested to see how it turns out.
Love the enginuity man!

I know a guy who did his tail lights though. Here's his write-up.

Well I have some LEDs mounted under my dash. I must say it looks pretty sweet....I'll get some pics up later. As far as the exterior lights you can find them all over the internet and ebay but I am unsure of what kind to get as far as the brand/model. Personally I think it would look bad ***. I am tired of the dull traditional yellow tinged bulbs and would like to go with something that is a true white.

Horacio, thanks for making my day LOL. I'm not looking at fabricating my own though. I'm not that patient lol. I'm just looking at the replacement LEDs (3157, 194 and 168). They come in a variety of colors but they are a little expensive as I need 8 3157s, and 4 194/168s. I might just bight the bullet and see how it goes.

Thanks for the input guys! I'll keep you posted.
