champion truck plug 4436/4071??
Picked up a set of champion truck plugs (I like these plugs cause a tow a 5th wheel)at the local Napa store for my 1998 Ram 360 V8. They gave me 8 -#4436 plugs. I took one of the plugsout of the truck and it was a champion truck plug #4071.....?????
The #4071 was bought from the dealership 2 years ago and they look good for being in there that long.
So, I go online to champion spark plug and search out these two different plugs, and I find out this:
#4071 = 1997 Ram 1500 360 V8
#4436 = 1998 Ram 1500 360 V8
So is this a good thing or a bad thing. I have been driving for 2 years with the wrong spark plug in my truck. Do any of you guys out there think that was damage was done lost power or fuel mileage???
The truck works fine, but there is a lot of difference between 4071's and the 4436's, length of the electrode is significant.
Can any spark plug tech help a guy out?
Thanks
