hey guys i have a 2004 dakota with the 3.7L V-6 and a 5 - speed manual trans(2wd), the truck is an club cab. My question is did dodge only make a limited number of dakotas with that body style and engine and trans? Any answer would be a great help thanks.

Yea i got a 98 single cab 2.5L 5 speed and i was wonderin how many of them they made. ive seen 2 like it. some people dont belive me when i tell em my dakota is a 4 banger lol

That truck is what you would call a fleet truck.

 

what do you mean by fleet truck? might be a stupid question.

 

Lots of compaines that have some sort of delivery service buy serveal truck or whatever they decide to get, that only have what you need. Nothing special in side, like power windows, cruise control, AC, power locks that sort of thing. Its a base model auto that they can get dirt cheap. The place I work for has a fleet of small S-10's

 

that explains why i cant hardle buy anything for it. i just finshed installing a air intake kit tho, just had a run in the truck then and i can tell a small difference. thanks for the info tho

 

2004 was the last year for the 2nd generation body style and the first year they started putting in the 3.7 instead of the 3.9
