Default 02 3.9L Starting Problems

Hi everyone,
Nice forums you have here. Was hoping somebody might have a direction I can go get my truck to strart again. It died this weekand I cannot seem to be able to get it to start. This is what I have done so far. The truck is completely stock.

1. Checked the fuel system and fuel pump works and it is getting fuel pressure to the rail.
2. I have replaced all the igintion stuff......wires/rotor/cap/plugs...needed it put didnt fix it.
3. There seems to be no spark. I remove 2 plug and grounded and I am not getting a spark.
4. I also grounded the coil wire coming from the coil and I also see no spark. I get 10-12 volts on input of the coil but I can find anything in the book to tell what other tests I can do to make sure thats the problem.
5.What else can I check just to verify its not sensor somewhere.

I am trying to determine if that is the best way to test the coil and what else I need to do to make sure it isthat before I spend the money. Do the coils on these truck go out alot?

Thanks to Anyone that can help.

Eddie

check your cam postion sensor in the distrbutor , mine went last week. the dealer ended up replacing the distrbutor becauseof a faulty bushing . also check the crankshaft postion sensor. no signal no spark.
hallalua for extended warranties.

Does other electrical work? Like your battery might be gone or alternator.

The cam and crank position sensors are prone to trouble. Better check 'em.
