Hey fellas , just found this site and it seems like a great place.

I have a 2001 club cab dakota with the 4.7 and 4 wheel drive.

Im changing the diff, fluids and transfer case fluids this weekend. What kind of fluids are yall using.

welcome, i use factory stuff, others use royal purple, amsoil brands... synthetics are a favorite around here

Thinking of using the royal purple, is this safe for the transfer case?
and how much fluid do I need for the front and rear end.

Royal Purple is fine, though I used the over-priced Chrysler synthetic from the dealer. I think between the front and back diff's I used a little less than four quarts total. I have an '01 4.7L 4WD quad.
