i'm in a quandry, sort of. i have an option to purchase an 00, or 99 dakota. i would just like to get some feedback.

i live in michigan and would like to use 4x4 for winter as well as some camping. the first truck is a 99 reg cab dakota which is avalible to purchase immediately, whereas the second one is having its timing chain replaced as well as a new PCM. ive read about the pros and cons of each and the price is a little higher for the 00, but that also comes with an installed hitch reciever. the conditon of each are about the same, as well as miles. both are automatics and come with fog lamps. both have bed liners and 4x4.

Get the v8. Or find another one. I would be staying away from something which is having stuff replaced. Obviously it had some problems. But v8. I have a v6 and it feels under powered especially if you have hills to go up. Also CC is nice to have of course you could opt for a crew cab. Only thing is shorter box than cc. But more cab room. Also same wheel base.
