might as well get headers while your at it
Im currently running, Gibson Headers (stock y pipe) and Flo Pro Cat Back system single in duel out, but thats all about to change.
Im going to upgrade to Mopar PPHs headers comes with 3in outlet ypipe, and im going with 3.5in exhuast with flowmaster race muffler single chamber with side exit exhuast with a electric dump before the muffler and NO cats...
.. ill post sound clips once i get it all done.... its going to sound MEAN!
i have a sound clip of my current exhuast it you want to here what a flo pro /w headers and a dump sounds like..
http://youtube.com/watch?v=cX1CLSHIUlo
EDIT: Sound clip was taken with camera phone video thing.. so kinda ****ty.. and this was with stock intake, after adding the AEM bruteforce it changed the tone of the exhuast alot deaper and less crackle...

I wouldn't recommend headers if it is the 3.9. It sounds great but there seems to be a loss of
low end torque. Maybe it was only on the application I experienced.
I run the stock cat with new 2.5" pipe from the cat to a flowmaster 40 and a shorty pipe after the 40.
It certainly sounds great and when the exhaust baffles are cold and I set off every car alarm for 2 blocks but as it warms up you can deffinetly tell its a V6. The 40 has lasted 6 years, certainly was worth the $150 for the pipe and muffler.
My buddy picked up a Magnaflow kit off ebay, 3" pipe, all hangers and tail pipe as well for a 5.2 for about $300 shipped, I personally don't like the sound as much as the Flowmaster.

not sure how it would sound on a v6 but my hooker aerochamber sounds bad *** on my 4.7 especially around 2k pure bliss haha paid 135 for the muffler 3" in dual 2 1/4" out and two 3.5" tips from summit then got it put on duals straight out the back for 200 fully welded.

This is a cool post. I've been interested in potentially getting an exhaust system, so it's cool to see what people say.
Doesn't opening up your exhaust typically result in loss of low end torque, with the benefit of high end power gain? Maintaining low end torque is important to me as I often will be towing trailers filled to the brim with gear.
