how much better is this edelbrok intake than th m1? wats th link to hughes, had it in my favorites but it sumhow got deleted.thanks

thanks.those r sum killer links and defintely full of good info..my only concern is that they say its non-EGR and i live in CA w/ ridiculous emission laws. im not 100% watEGR is other than it has to do with emissions and wat not...any input?

I don't know if you have EGR or not, I don't.

thanks for that link..how would i find out if mine has EGR or not? im gonna go look under th hood to c if i cant find th EGR valve.pretty sure i hav one. i take it that u dont tho, rite?

well, i didnt c anything that that looked like an EGR valve under th hood so i guess ill b puttin my $ towards that intake...quick ? bout th install, how do u go about relievn th pressure in th fuel system? otherwise the install seems pretty straight forward cuz its jus a bolt on

No I don't have EGR. I think it's on the passengerside of the intake manifold, towards the back. And that edelbrock is only $100 more than the M1.It looks like you already did thebasic bolt ons.Horepower cost money! I was going to to buy the edelbrock but I justdecided to do a 5.2 to 5.9 engine swap,big cam,heads,etc.(still doing it!)Either way I wouldn't get your PCM reflashed until your done modding your truck.

yea thats th bad thing, if its any good, its gonna cost u. for only $100 more i think its worth it after readin those stats. yea ive already got exhaust, headers, short ram air intake..wat gav u th idea about havin my pcm flashed? im not spendin $300 on a chip/programmer thats only gonna change my limiter wen i can put that $ towards sumthin way more affective

You can rent or a buy a fuel line disconnect tool. I bet Hughes Engines will supply you with instructions on how to install it. It will probably take you two hours or so.
