Default Braker Braker 1 9er....

Ok, So my brakes kinda act up. I know my brakes have 50% left on them and they pulsate every now and then. Which the pulsating comes from the rotors. I plan I going in and having my rotors turned for like 70$, should I just replace the brakes at the same time? Or just turn the rotors? Or even so am I correct about the pulsating coming from the rotors?

if you are spending the money to have the rotors turned you will need to change out the pads also. the pulsating could be the abs, or therotors being that warped.

Definately replace the pads if you are getting the rotors turned. There is a huge difference between a pulsation and the ABS system engaging.

Deffinately change the pads. They will have the same groove in them that the rotors did, and if not changed will only re-groove the rotors again, making the turning a complete waste of money.

For that matter new front rotors for your truck are only $32 apiece at Napa, why not just get new ones?

Yeah, and take a few mm off of it. It technically is bad to do in comparison to new rotors, as with less metal the rotors can't vent heat as well. You should probably just take this as an opportunity to get some nice new aftermarket rotors.

When in doubt, always buy new equipment. I treat rotors as consumables, same as pads.
