Default Need ground cable. Alternative to $700 dealer harness?

The ground terminal is badly corroded and broken. Dealer says it only comes as part of the complete $700+ engine harness kit. Anyone know of any aftermarket alternatives for the ground cable? Any referrals would be appreciated.

er... do you need a cable or a terminal?

Also this is the part on your battery right?

If so.. hell no you dont need a 700$ harness.. never go to the dealership unless you have a warrenty.. they will overcharger like a ****.

You can go pretty much anywhere and find a new terminal, and you can use any type of 8 gauge wire for the ground...

if its broken i would just cut it off and strip some of the wire back and crimp on a new terminal.. most it would cost is about 10$.. THE MOST! Thats new wire and a ternimal, but im pretty sure you can find some slack in the wire and reuse it.

3$ for the terminal at walmart or you can go heavy duty and get a better one for like 5$ or so..

This is a definite candidate for after-market or customized solution to save yourself a boat-load of money.

But, let's get more specific. Are you talking about the ground strap between the block and chassis? If so, there are probably some after-market straps out there for your application. Here's an example of one from Summit Racing -
