Default big problem.. not with the truck

see if anyone knowns there motorcycles in here... i have an 02 triumph bonneville america... 429 miles on the odometer, now i get the bike running but, earlier this summer, she would stall when i grabbed the clutch and put her in gear, turns out the clutch packs were oxidized together, took care of that problem while rolling her in 1st gear... now the clutch is nice and free but when i still put the bike in gear, yes when i grab the clutch of course, she shudders then stalls, wont lurch me forward or anything, anyone have any ideas before i send this off to a motorcycle mechanic?.. thanks

o she starts up fine, choke of course, battery was just freshly recharged, something in that transmission or clutch... its like someone jamming a screwdriver into a rotating gear train and it comes to an instant halt

It's a safty switch that cuts ign. when the stand is down and you put it in gear, check the cond. of it, maybe it needs to be adjusted,I believe its a normally closed switch so if you disconnect the switch or it dosn't depress the contact enuff,(opening the switch),it wont work...

These switches are down where there is a lot of dirt, right off of the kickstand. I would get a new switch, then tape it really good with electrical tape so it is always able to let the motorcycle run. End of the problem, but dont ride off with the kickstand down, either.
